CAES launched the 2025 academic year with two amazing student-centered events supported by the incredible CAES alumni volunteers: the Ag Dawg Kickoff in Athens with over 600 students and faculty in attendance and the Ag Dawg Welcome Back in Tifton with nearly 100 students and faculty. These events weren’t just celebrations—they were a testament to the power of alumni engagement and support.
Held on August 20 at the UGA Livestock Arena, the Ag Dawg Kickoff brought together students, faculty, and staff for an evening of fellowship, student club exhibits, and UGA tradition with the Red Coat Band and Cheerleaders. Ag Dawg Kickoff is the beginning of a series of CAES Signature Events thanks to several generous sponsors
Just a week later, on August 27, CAES alumni with the help of the Tifton Chapter of the UGA Alumni Association hosted the Ag Dawg Welcome Back at the UGA Tifton Campus, welcoming the community with the same Bulldog family warmth.

What made both events truly special? The CAES alumni volunteers who showed up, pitched in, and made it all happen. From setting up booths to serving food and guiding students, these alumni didn’t just support—they led. Their presence reminded everyone that being an Ag Dawg doesn’t end at graduation. It’s a lifelong connection, and their dedication helped create a warm, inclusive atmosphere that set the tone for the semester ahead.
So here’s to the alumni who never bark alone. Your time, energy, and enthusiasm made these events unforgettable. CAES students are lucky to have you in their corner. 🐾
