What is your favorite part of being a CAES student?
I love the CAES community. Every person I’ve met in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Science, whether it be a fellow student, a professor, or and advisor, has been nothing but friendly and welcoming.

What thank you message would you like to send to people who provide financial support to CAES?
Thank you so much for your support of CAES! I hope that you know how appreciative students like myself are of your financial support, and I personally am so thankful that donors like yourself believe in my education. Your generous support often makes the difference between students being able to afford to attend college and not.

What is your most memorable CAES experience so far?
My most memorable CAES experience has been sitting down and getting to talk with, my professor, Dr. Brian Keipper. Dr. Keipper teaches my Effects of Global Agriculture class. Even though this class is asynchronous, I was able to meet and talk to him. He shared his insight, and we got to discuss the impact of agriculture, world culture, and the class in general as he shared his knowledge. I was surprised by how accessible he was to me as a student, and I appreciated his willingness to listen and have a conversation with me.

How has this scholarship impacted your educational experience at CAES?
This scholarship has been a blessing. I have been able to enjoy college more by not being constantly concerned about the financial side of my education. Your generosity has given me peace and helped create access to greater opportunities during my freshman year.

What is your most memorable CAES experience so far?
My most memorable experience with CAES so far is actually my FOCUS learning class, run by Dr. Peake. He is teaching us how to apply the science we are learning in a way to serve our communities.

How has this scholarship impacted your educational experience at CAES?
This scholarship is one of the reasons I decided to choose CAES at UGA rather than another college on campus and I feel like because of it, I am having a much better experience than I otherwise would’ve. The CAES community is so tight-knit and we have so many good mentors that I feel like my academics are benefiting greatly from the experience.
