These observations indicate that inoculum of\u00a0downy\u00a0mildew\u00a0is currently in GA and under favorable conditions (cool and wet conditions) potential disease outbreak\u00a0in watermelon and other cucurbits\u00a0can occur. I would suggest our watermelon\u00a0growers to look for the\u00a0downy\u00a0mildew\u00a0symptoms in their fields and start applying protective spray of below stated fungicides.<\/p>\n<p>Watermelon: Rotation (foliar application)\u00a0 with\u00a0Orondis+Bravo\/Manzate;<\/p>\n<p>Ranman+Bravo\/Manzate;<\/p>\n<p>Previcur flex+Bravo\/manzate<\/p>\n<p>Please do not use Bravo after fruit set.<\/p>\n<p>Other cucurbits:\u00a0Ranman+Bravo;\u00a0Previcur flex+Bravo<\/p>\n<p>If Orondis was used\u00a0as a soil application, please\u00a0do not use it as foliar\u00a0(use restriction according to label).<\/p>\n<p>If Orondis was\u00a0not used as a soil\u00a0application,\u00a0foliar application can be done\u00a0for controlling\u00a0downy\u00a0mildew.<\/p>\n<p>For more\u00a0information\u00a0please contact your local county extension agent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Downy\u00a0mildew\u00a0of cucurbit in\u00a0watermelon has been detected from Taylor County in Georgia (Aug 23, 2016).
