Many questions filled my head making me wonder what the food would actually be like. Weeks prior to the trip I did make it a point to increase my beef intake, just in case it actually would benefit me&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon arrival, our first meal was HUGE. I think every meal that was served in Uruguay was large enough to feed 3 people, at least. I definitely was not expecting the portion sizes, but I also wasn&#8217;t expecting the wide variety of items that were on the menus at restaurants. The first big meal we ate was a different style hamburger with ham and a fried egg on it! I feel like that was the most basic &#8220;American&#8221; type meal we were served. We had some meals that were similar to steak, we tried intestine even, and even beef tongue!! I&#8217;ll admit, there was so much beef.
