Since my Sophomore year of high school, I have wanted to be an agriculture teacher. I have never strayed myself from that path since then. I have often doubter my abilities and wondered if I could do it. Before entering the Scotland classroom to teach I was thrown a curveball the day before I had to teach. I had to change my lesson plan. I was panicked and thought that there was no way that I could do it. After some long talks from the professors, I rose above and felt confident the next day. The students that we taught were so thrilled to have the Americans teaching them. This trip completely re-sparked a passion that I found 6 years ago. I quickly realized that the students did not care how much I knew, they just wanted to know how much I cared. On the last day, I was paired in a group with a student that had moved from Bulgaria earlier in the week. This student had never spoken a word since arriving. In the end of the hour that I spent with them, they were able to say fish, cow, pig, thank you, and please. They also wrote their name, fish, and pig on the board. I will forever take away the memory with me for the rest of my life. This moment reassured me that this is what I want to do and this is what I am meant to do. I am so thankful that this program gave me that spark back!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
