What a long day. We spent the day taking a bus tour of the Highlands of Scotland. My favorite part of today was taking a boat tour of Loch Ness. During my childhood, my mother (who is Irish) used to tell us and sing about different folk tales of Scotland and Ireland. I spent a good majority of my childhood loving Nessie and I never thought I&#8217;d get the chance to see Loch Ness in real life. It was very very cold on the boat, but I don&#8217;t regret standing on the top deck, getting pelted by ice-it was the most fun I have had in a while! It was also a major bonding moment with my peers. We all were giggling and having a truly joyous time on the boat.&nbsp; We have just gotten back to our hotel (our room is probably 7 feet wide, but it has the most incredible view) and are about to head to nightly reflections. Today has been a truly impactful day and I can&#8217;t wait to head to Dumfries tomorrow!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Whew! What a long day.
