Today is the day that I am leaving the United States to head to Europe for The Grand Tour!<\/p>\n
In September of 2017, I applied to go on The Grand Tour this Maymester. Just the thought of possibly being able to go to Europe excited me and at that point I had not even been accepted into the program. Today, I am sitting at the terminal in the Atlanta airport, waiting to board my flight that will take me to Dublin, Ireland. From there, I will fly to Rome, Italy to meet up with Dr. Tim Smalley and Dr. Marc van Iersel and begin the tour.<\/p>\n
When I applied, I was hopeful that I would have the opportunity to participate in this trip and after I received my notice of acceptance, I was elated to say the least. Although, it seemed to be a long way off, the time flew by and here I am today. Now, I sit here with my bags packed and I am about to begin one of the most monumental journeys of my life.
