Well the number one answer I can give would have to be the biodiversity present. I am an entomology major here at the University of Georgia and I have to say that Georgia has some pretty diverse insects. Although, the diversity here is amazing the insects of Ecuador are so much more diverse. Everything I thought I knew about insects was retaught, reimagined, and revised because of this trip. There is so much more to my field than I ever realized. Insects truly are all around us and are perfect examples of evolution at work.
