Whether you were on a study abroad program, internship or volunteering abroad, we&#8217;re thrilled that you took advantage of the opportunity to\u00a0grow both academically and personally as you experienced a new culture and expanded your worldview.<\/p>\n<p>Students in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at UGA traveled all over the world this summer! Here are just a few examples of the places they went and what they experienced:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sungwhan\u00a0Park (Food Science) <\/strong>traveled to Italy to study grape production and wine-making on the <a href=\"https:\/\/students.caes.uga.edu\/current\/study-abroad\/faculty-led\/italy-viticulture.html\" target=\"_blank\">Viticulture &amp; Enology Maymester<\/a>. He traveled to vineyards, wineries, and kept a serious wine journal. He&#8217;s well on his way to becoming a beverage expert in the food industry.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/site.caes.uga.edu\/studyabroad\/files\/2015\/08\/wine-tasting-at-vineyard.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1074\" src=\"https:\/\/site.caes.uga.edu\/studyabroad\/files\/2015\/08\/wine-tasting-at-vineyard-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"wine tasting at vineyard\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/site.caes.uga.edu\/studyabroad\/files\/2015\/08\/wine-tasting-at-vineyard-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/site.caes.uga.edu\/studyabroad\/files\/2015\/08\/wine-tasting-at-vineyard-184x138.jpg 184w, https:\/\/site.caes.uga.edu\/studyabroad\/files\/2015\/08\/wine-tasting-at-vineyard.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Chris Reynolds (Agribusiness)\u00a0<\/strong>traveled to Meknes, Morocco to intern at L&#8217;ENA Meknes, part of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.global.uga.edu\/students\/Certificateprogram.html\" target=\"_blank\">Certificate in International Agriculture<\/a>. She took courses, made new friends, learned some Swiss German and skied the Swiss Alps. She spent the rest of her summer traveling through Europe and visiting new friends. She saw the ruins of Pompeii, the palace of Versailles, Monet&#8217;s famous gardens (and more), but the city that surprised her most was Edinburgh, Scotland. He visited a French poultry farm, swine production facility, a few medieval cities and spent\u00a0a weekend at the\u00a0Mediterranean Sea.
