I am very happy to come home, although I did have a wonderful time in Costa Rica. I’m glad to have something other than rice and beans for my meals, although I’ll miss the fresh fruit. During our 20 days we saw about 300 birds, two species of sloth, three species of monkey, lots of frogs and toads, a few snakes, and countless insects and spiders. I saw many beautiful, rare, and endangered birds, ones I will probably never see again. This trip takes you to every corner of the country and you feel as though you’ve seen about all Costa Rican nature has to offer. If you’re going to experience the culture of Costa Rica, I wouldn’t suggest this trip, as we didn’t interact with the locals much, but lots of time was spent in the rainforest!

My parents loved the journal I kept for them and they both went through my bird book page by page seeing exactly where I spotted each and every bird, which made all the work worth it.

I saw lots of amazing wildlife and made some even more amazing friends on this trip. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves nature and wildlife!
