My boots have traveled many places in my life, from different towns, states, and different island nations, and now an entirely new and exciting continent. This upcoming week, I will spend time exploring the agricultural wonders of Uruguay. While in Uruguay, I will visit dairies, meat packing plants, beef operations, and even a winery. This will be a great opportunity to learn from other cultures and their animals husbandry practices. This is a great honor and privilege to represent the University of Georgia on the 2016 study abroad trip to Uruguay. I would not be able to go on this trip if it was not for the Dean’s Promise Scholarship.
