Well America, looks like we will be parting ways for Spring Break 2016! Going out of the country has always been a thrilling adventure for me, and now I get to conquer my fourth international trip, third continent, and first study abroad. I’m so excited to be heading to Uruguay with other CAES students to participate in the Sustainable Beef, Grain Production, and Marketing Systems program. When I first heard of this program two years ago, I knew I had to participate in this journey. Students who have previously gone on this trip spoke highly of the wonderful food, amazing people, insight to foreign agriculture, and the livestock they got to visit and see. (Of course, seeing cows in another country was the selling point for me!) I applied to the program, got accepted, and now here I am. Praying I didn’t forget anything, I’m about to climb on the plane to Uruguay. Thanks to Mom and Dad, Amanda Stephens, Aunt Carolyn, Mimis, the Dean’s Promise, and all others involved for making this trip possible for me! See you in a week!
