I leave for Costa Rica in one week. I would like to think that I am prepared, but I haven’t had a lot of time to think about the trip, let alone prepare for it! I still need to pack and get mentally prepared for leaving the country. I have traveled extensively through Europe, so I am not uneasy about traveling to foreign countries and not being able to speak a word of the language. A friendly smile goes a long way! I am mostly concerned with packing. I have asked several people what type of clothes I should bring and I have a better idea of what I will need, however, there is always that fear that you will forget something or that you will under/over pack.
I am excited for the trip and I can’t wait to learn more about coffee and to get to see first hand the entire process of making coffee. I am excited to experience a new culture and to get to eat some delicious food. While I’m sad that I am missing Thanksgiving with my family, I am excited to have new experiences in a foreign country.
