Research Services
Statistical consulting offered through the Department of Statistics – here you can find help with experimental design as well as data analysis. They offer drop-in hours daily and you can schedule individual appointments. Parking is reimbursed!
Georgia Advanced Computing Resource Center (GARAC) Advanced computing services at UGA including training and consulting. Check out their free trainings, including work-at-your-own-pace options.
Complex Carbohydrate Research Center This state of the art research center just off campus will advise and assist in chemical and analytical methods and analysis. They have everything you can think of. Students can be trained on equipment or pay flat rates (or authorship) for services.
UGA library These guys are seriously the best. They can help you find anything you need, even things you didn’t know you needed. Entomology has a specific person just to help our department. The MacBay science library also includes a makerspace.
Plant Growth Facilities UGA has recently put a ton of money into their greenhouses and plant growth facilities and all of this is available for research use.

ArcGIS mapping Software UGA provides access to the mapping software ArcGIS. Use your UGA single sign on to login.
UGA campus pollinator group and initiatives UGA is a certified Bee Campus USA by the Xerces Society. Part of this is maintaining pollinator habitat on campus, engaging in pollinator research and outreach. You can see a stroyboard of all of the pollinator gardens on campus here, and a storyboard of bee keeping on campus here. These last two have really handy maps!
UGA Affiliated Field Sites
State Botanical Garden of Georgia This 313 acre garden is just down the road from the main UGA campus with regular bus service. It is available for enjoyment as well as research.
UGA Campus Arboretum UGA is a beautiful campus and is maintained as an official arboretum. Maps and databases are available.
Whitehall Forest This 840 acre forest is just 4 miles outside of campus and is run by the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources.
UGA research spaces across Georgia Savannah River Ecological Station, Marine Institute on Sapelo Island, Tifton Campus with its Costal Plain Research Station, Griffin Campus with its Georgia Research Station.
