Welcome to the Hajihassani Lab!
The Hajihassani Research Group was formed in mid 2017 to provide research-based information on practices that are feasible and effective for detection and management of plant-parasitic nematodes in vegetable crops. Our group studies various nematicides, cover/trap crops, resistant cultivars/rootstocks and microbial antagonists of nematodes as potential management approaches for nematode control in both conventional and organic production systems of vegetables. We are involved in extension and outreach programs to communicate the results and guidelines to stakeholders. (Photo: Aggregation of dehydrated stem nematode Ditylenchus dipsaci on a culture plate)
