Alexa Lamm delivers results of the CDC High Obesity Program, Healthier Together Calhoun, to residents of Calhoun County.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

On March 22nd, 2022, Alexa Lamm<\/a> and Kristin Gibson<\/a> traveled to Calhoun County, Georgia to deliver the results of the UGA ALEC Evaluation team\u2019s report for the 2020-2021 year. Dr. Lamm presented the results of the project as reported by members of the Healthier Together Calhoun<\/a> Coalition during listening sessions in 2021. Lamm then conducted a visioning session with community members where they explained what they would like to see come from the project over the next year (2022-2023). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overall, coalition members found the project had a positive impact on their community but were interested in more opportunities for increased use of physical activity resources. A link to the 2020-2021 Healthier Together Calhoun Evaluation report can be found here<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The evaluation described here is part of Sanders<\/a> and Lamm\u2019s work with Healthier Together Georgia across five rural counties in the state. Healthier Together Georgia is funded through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in partnership with UGA\u2019s College of Public Health, College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, and Cooperative Extension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
