Lamm Lab members Michael Batame<\/a>, Megan Meyer<\/a>, Funmi Ajiferuke<\/a>, Gracie Grimes<\/a>, and Dennis Baffour-Awuah<\/a> all shined bright as they presented research in three different sections of the Southern Association of Agricultural Sciences meeting in Louisville, Kentucky January 31 – February 3. These included the National Agricultural Communications Symposium, the Southern Region of the American Society for Horticultural Sciences, and the Southern Region of the American Association for Agricultural Education. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lab presented research and professional development covering how we most effectively communicate with producers, consumers and decision makers. A wide spectrum of the agricultural industry was represented in their research with topics including gene-editing, integrated pest management, invasive species management, microplastics, PFAS, substrate transitions, consumer food safety concerns, consumer concerns regarding environmental sustainability of meat production, the integration of art and science, introducing new foods, and systems thinking integration into the classroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
