Numerous speakers shared the importance of audience segmentation, tailoring messages, and speaking to both the heart and the mind.  Lamm emphasized during her talk that while the participants had all learned a lot about how to effectively communicate science that they need to keep in mind <em><strong>WHY<\/strong><\/em> they want to communicate about the science behind animal agriculture.
