Project work will include conducting consumer preference surveys and testing strategic communication messages in different formats to determine consumer response to upcycled food ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p>Food waste is an immense issue with many aspects of food creation leaving elements that are edible and can be reused, ,or reimagined, into innovative and tasty food creations. <\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.caes.uga.edu\/about\/personnel\/person\/23693\/peng-lu.html\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.caes.uga.edu\/about\/personnel\/person\/23693\/peng-lu.html\">Dr. Peng Lu<\/a>, a brand new assistant professor in ALEC, and other ALEC faculty including <a href=\"https:\/\/site.caes.uga.edu\/lammlab\/people\/alexa-j-lamm\/\" data-type=\"caes-people\" data-id=\"38\">Dr. Alexa Lamm<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/news.uga.edu\/abigail-borron\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/news.uga.edu\/abigail-borron\/\">Dr. Abigail Borron<\/a>, the project will bring together partners from the Department of Food Science, the <a href=\"https:\/\/foodpic.uga.edu\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/foodpic.uga.edu\">UGA Food Product Innovation &amp; Commercialization Center<\/a>, the University of Pittsburgh and Drexel University.
