The Lamm lab was busy this summer working on articles for Water<\/a><\/em>! The team published two articles focused on water protection from data that was collected from residents of Florida, Georgia, and Alabama in the fall of 2022. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Encouraging water protection through donation: Examining the effects of intention to engage in personal water conservation behaviors on donation behaviors <\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This study investigated factors that may influence consumers\u2019 civic behavior related to water conservation efforts. The study found there was a positive correlation between behavioral intention to conserve water and donation behaviors related to water conservation. This study examined an extended theory of planned behavior model to understand factors that may influence consumers\u2019 self-reported water conservation behaviors. The study found intrinsic and extrinsic motivation had a direct negative effect on respondents\u2019 water conservation behaviors.
