Biography<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Millicent A. Oyugi is currently a research scientist at Texas A&M University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During her time at the University of Georgia, Dr. Oyugi served as a postdoctoral researcher in the Lamm Lab. She has a BSc in Agricultural Education and Extension, an MSc in Agricultural Extension, and a Ph.D. in Agricultural Communication and Education from Texas Tech University. She previously worked as an assistant lecturer in agricultural education and extension at Egerton University in Kenya. Millicent is an enthusiastic instructor with thirteen years of experience developing and implementing diverse course syllabi in agricultural education, communication\/extension, and other research methods courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Millicent is passionate about agricultural rural innovations and rural poverty issues. Her community engagement and research activities have previously centered on improving rural livelihoods through inclusive value chains, innovation adoption, market access, and effective science communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Millicent’s dissertation research investigated the relationship between mentorship and agricultural science teachers’ job satisfaction, burnout, and teaching self-efficacy<\/p>\n\n\n\n
