{"id":35,"date":"2025-08-07T11:15:25","date_gmt":"2025-08-07T15:15:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/site.caes.uga.edu\/intersol\/?post_type=caes-people&#038;p=35"},"modified":"2025-10-31T11:32:08","modified_gmt":"2025-10-31T15:32:08","slug":"greg-colson","status":"publish","type":"caes-people","link":"https:\/\/site.caes.uga.edu\/intersol\/people\/greg-colson\/","title":{"rendered":"Greg Colson"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<!--more View Profile-->\n\n\n\n<p>Greg Colson is a Professor and Department Head of the Agricultural and Applied Economics Department at the University of Georgia.\u00a0 He also serves as the Director of the UGA Center for Agribusiness and Economic Development.\u00a0 He has an undergraduate degree, double majoring in economics and mathematics, from the University of Virginia, and an MS and PhD in economics from Iowa State University.\u00a0 His research program focuses on utilizing economic surveys and experiments to understand behavioral dimensions of consumer and producer decision-making, such as crop insurance, food purchases, risk management, and technology adoption.\u00a0 At the University of Georgia, he teaches courses on microeconomic theory at the undergraduate and graduate levels, experimental economics, and teaching pedagogy.\u00a0 He was the 2020 recipient of the D.W.
