Janak Joshi is a faculty member in the Department of Plant Sciences and Plant Pathology at Montana State University. His research program focuses on plant pathology and plant-pathogen interactions, with particular emphasis on soft rot and blackleg diseases in potatoes, as well as Ascochyta blight in pulse crops. By integrating experimental plant pathology and molecular biology with computational modeling and protein-ligand interaction analysis, he aims to uncover resistance mechanisms and develop new strategies for crop protection. His work contributes to advancing predictive tools and mechanistic understanding that support agricultural resilience and plant health.
