Brian H. Kvitko is an Associate Professor of Plant Pathology at the University of Georgia . His work integrates genetics, genomics, and microbiology to study the molecular mechanisms of bacterial plant pathogenesis and plant immunity. In addition to work on bacterial pathogens of onion and cotton, his program also explores in approaches in translational disease resistances to develop crops with improved resistance to bacterial diseases.
