We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Garden Center General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our growing garden center. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture, excellent customer service skills, and strong leadership abilities. As the Garden Center Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, maintaining inventory, ensuring the health and presentation of plants, and providing exceptional service to our customers. You will also be tasked with developing and implementing sales strategies, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment. You will need to be knowledgeable about a wide variety of plants, gardening products, and landscaping techniques. Additionally, you will be responsible for training and mentoring staff, creating work schedules, and handling customer inquiries and complaints. The successful candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking. Job Duties
Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the garden center.
Manage and train staff.
Maintain inventory and order supplies.

Conduct regular staff meetings.

Implement loss prevention measures.
Ensure proper labeling and pricing of products.
Develop and maintain relationships with customers.
Prepare reports on sales and inventory.
Requirements
Job Qualifications
Proven experience as a Garden Center Manager or similar role.
Strong knowledge of horticulture and gardening products.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
Proficient in inventory management and ordering.
Experience with budget management and financial reporting.
Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in using computer systems and software.
