Job Duties

Responsibilities and Goals

Production Landscaping:

  • Apply knowledge of proper landscape installation standards and techniques
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely completion of daily landscaping installs.
  • Complete fundamental training that includes but is not limited to home builder construction, job scheduling, and site logistics


Design Build:

  • Support the design team in the creation and execution of landscaping plans.
  • Participate in the planning and construction phases of residential and commercial projects.
  • Learn and apply design principles to enhance outdoor spaces aesthetically and functionally.

 

Field Operations:

  • Gain in-the-field experience on commercial irrigation systems, problem diagnosis/repair, and other turfgrass management practices.
  • Assist in the scheduling and routing of maintenance crews.
  • Learn and implement sustainable landscaping processes for environmental stewardship.

 

Company Wide Principles

  • Gain exposure to leadership best practices within the landscaping industry.
  • Understand company growth principles and how they apply to landscaping services.
  • Explore financial stability aspects related to budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Gain insights into sales and marketing strategies specific to the landscaping business.
  • Develop practical workplace skills like effective communication and conflict resolution.
  • Understand the overall structure of the company and how the divisions work together to impact the effectiveness and the legacy of Saluda Hill Landscapes.

Qualifications

  • Must have completed at least 1 year of a college level horticulture or agriculture program
  • Must have an interest in building the foundations of a successful career in the landscaping industry

  • Physically able lift at least 50 lbs and to stand or walk for extended periods of time
