{"id":2170,"date":"2017-05-15T11:16:23","date_gmt":"2017-05-15T15:16:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/site.caes.uga.edu\/pmil\/?p=2170"},"modified":"2017-05-15T11:16:23","modified_gmt":"2017-05-15T15:16:23","slug":"aflanet-seeking-papers-for-upcoming-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/site.caes.uga.edu\/ftfpeanutlab\/2017\/05\/aflanet-seeking-papers-for-upcoming-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"AflaNet seeking papers for upcoming conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>AflaNet, a partnership between the scientific and development communities in German and Kenya\/East Africa, is soliciting abstracts for its one-day-conference in Nairobi on 9 October.<\/p>\n<p>The aim of the conference is to bring together scientists, stakeholders, institutes, farmers and governmental institutions seeking for long-lasting, innovative and practicable ideas to combat aflatoxin from the food value chain.<\/p>\n<p>The project funded by the German Ministry of Food and Agriculture in 2016 is designed as an initial study that is planned to be followed by a more intensive, overall collaborative project with African partners.<\/p>\n<p>The deadline for abstract submission is 15 June; and notice of acceptance will go out 15 August.
