The American Peanut Research and Education Society is accepting abstracts for original papers or posters to be presented at the 2018 APRES Annual Meeting this summer. The July 10-12 gathering, the 50th annual meeting, will be held at the Doubletree Hotel in Williamsburg, Virginia. Early bird registration is $250 for APRES members; spouses and children attend free.

APRES has secured a group hotel rate of $129 a night and a few per diem rooms at $91 a night.

Organizers strongly suggest that international members who plan to attend begin travel paperwork now. Contact APRES as soon as possible if you need a letter of invitation.

Due to the popularity of the Joe Sugg Graduate Student Competition (an oral presentation contest), the board of directors has added another way to highlight the work of the students. Beginning at the 2018 Annual Meeting, master’s and doctoral students may choose between presenting their work through an oral presentation or a poster. Both competitions require an abstract and both competitions will select a first and second place winner. Student planning on entering the Joe Sugg Graduate Student Competition or the Poster Competition need to indicate which competition they are entering on the abstract submission form. See more details on the APRES website.

Submit abstracts at www.apresinc.com by the deadline, Saturday, March 31, 2018. Authors of both oral presentations and posters will be notified by May 1 if their abstract has been selected for presentation. Once submitted, authors may edit their abstracts until the end of April.
