1 MS/PhD (Spring, 2021) and 1 full time lab technician position available in Plant Molecular Diagnostic Lab, University of Georgia, Tifton.

The successful applicants will conduct experiments on the development of advanced diagnostic methods for rapid and confident identification of plant diseases due to virus, bacteria or fungus using next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies. The successful candidate is expected to conduct lab and greenhouse experiments under the supervision of Dr. Ali.

Requirement: Degree in plant biology, microbiology, plant pathology, genetics, biochemistry, molecular biology or related area; knowledge and skills in advanced molecular techniques like PCR, RT-PCR, qPCR, RPA, LAMP, etc.
